Never had we thought that just across the border we would have such an indescribable experience! in July of 2017 we left for a 10 day preaching marathon to Bangladesh, a country ruled by an Islamic government but with a flood of Millions of dedicated Gaura Bhaktas who are mad for kirtan!
We have never had such an enthusiastic audience who continued loudly chanting and dancing for 4-5 non stop! Our stage programs went until 12 or 1 AM with Guitar kirtans, Dance performances and lectures!
It was so wonderful to experience the sweet and warming hostility of the authentic Bengali Gaudiya Vaishnav culture! We learnt so much about humility and service attitude from every little service they did to make our stay comfortable.
Everyday we travelled to a new city which included Dhaka, Sylhet, Habib Ganj, Narayan Ganj, Narsingdi and many more. In each city we visited we had at least a thousand people waiting for us and, at least a 50 preparation feast Prasadam (vegetarian food offer to Krsna) of all the most delicious dishes we had ever tasted!
We will never forget our preaching experience in Bangladesh which became one of the highlights in our Mayapur Vasis history!
