We are so excited to share with you our dancing version of Jaya Radha Madhava mantra!
Text by Giri Govardhan das:
In this song, JAYA RADHA MADHAVA, we have combined various musical styles; First the Indian bhajans style with the beautiful sound of the mrdanga and the Kartals, then the modern soft rock expressed with the guitar, saxophone, keyboard, and finally the Latin vibes given by the beats of the drum set, shakers and guitar pickings, all this amalgamated and enhanced with nice choruses and harmonies depicting the amazing lyrics composed by our great spiritual teachers. Concluding with the glorious and purifying sound of the Maha Mantra Hare Krishna. The lyrics was written by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur around 10 years ago. May this transcendental vibrations purify the heart and help bring about a spiritual consciousness in today’s decadent and needy world.

(1) jaya rādhā-mādhava kuñja-bihārī gopī-jana-vallabha giri-vara-dhārī
(2) yaśodā-nandana braja-jana-rañjana yāmuna-tīra-vana-cārī
TRANSLATION
1) Krsna is the lover of Radha. He displays many amorous pastimes in the groves of Vrndavana, He is the lover of the cowherd maidens of Vraja, and the holder of the great hill named Govardhana.
2) He is the beloved son of mother Yasoda, the delighter of the inhabitants of Vraja, and He wanders in the forests along the banks of the River Yamuna!
Srila Prabhupada was very fond of this sort and sang it just before his lectures. In Allahabad and Gorakhpur, Srila Prabhupada fell into a trance after singing the first two lines, and after some time he came back into external consciousness and said, “Now just chant Hare Krsna.” Srila Prabhupada said that this song is “a picture of Vrndavana. Everything is there–Srimati Radharani, Vrndavana, Govardhana, Yasoda, and all the cowherd boys.”
