Giri Govardhan (Rafael Calderon), is a lifelong musician and practitioner of Bhakti Yoga for over 30 years. He is the creator of the Vasis Method, a structured and inspiring way to learn harmonium and kirtan that has reached students in more than 60 countries worldwide. Beyond harmonium, Rafael has a strong formal musical background. He studied bass guitar at a conservatory and has mastered multiple instruments including guitar, bass, mṛdaṅga, and other percussion instruments. His versatility and technical knowledge enriched his teaching, allowing him to blend traditional kirtan practice with contemporary musical theory. As a recording artist, Rafael has released an album available on 120 digital platforms, which has reached thousands of listeners globally. With a Bachelor’s degree in Education, he combines technical skill, professional pedagogy, and spiritual depth, ensuring every student feels both supported and inspired.
